Nashville Tribute Band, featuring pianist Dan Truman who also plays for the famous country group Diamond Rio and award-winning songwriter Jason Deere, will bring their unique style of religious music to the Mesa Amphitheater November 8. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Paying tribute to the history and legendary pioneer past of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormon Church, the Nashville Tribute Band takes listeners on a journey through some of the most poignant moments in the church’s history. Their first CD Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet and their second CD, The Trek: A Nashville Tribute To The Pioneers, contain songs written by Jason Deere based on the struggles faced by those who were instrumental in establishing the church.

Light Entertainment Company will present Broadway Tonight - Children of the World a fun-filled evening of song and dance entertainment that can be enjoyed by the entire family. East Valley Mormon Choral Org Christmas Spectacular Celebrate the holiday season by experiencing EAST VALLEY MORMON CHORAL ORGANIZATION’S annual Christmas Spectacular, “All the Bells on Earth Shall Ring," on Saturday, December 4th at the Mesa Arts Center. EVMCO is part of the world’s largest choral/orchestral organization, Mormon Choral Organizations of America, and welcomes musicians of all faiths. It consists of a refined 200-voice adult choir, 4 professional youth choruses, and a stunning symphony orchestra.

The concert will feature holiday favorites for choir, orchestra, and bells, including music by Eric Whitacre and T.L. Victoria, selections from The Polar Express, Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride, and dozens of carols celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Choral Trip to China with BYU Choral Director

Position for Show Choir Director Kirk's Studio for the Performing Arts is the Valley's largest studio for music instruction with three locations: Scottsdale, Mesa and Desert Ridge. We have an immediate opening for a Show Choir Director at the Mesa Studio. This individual would direct and coach the vocal training as well as do most of the choreography and dance instruction. Guest instructors or choreographers could be brought in from time to time. The director would be in charge of two groups: the first for ages 11-14 and the second for ages 14-18. Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 for the younger group and 7-8:30 for the older kids. The older group will be a competitive Show Choir. There is ample parental support and parents are willing to volunteer to help wherever needed. Rehearsals are held at Kirk's Studio for the Performing Arts at 7440 E. Main St. in Mesa (formerly La Musique). The Show Choirs perform at a variety of venues and have a small tour every year as well. Compensation is very competitive and depends on experience.
