Jester’Z Improv Family Theatre Comprised of professional actors, comedians, and stand up comics headed up by Jef Rawls, The Jester'Z provides instant comedy - made up on the spot. The Jester'Z know the games, but because the setup comes from the audience every scene is unique, and every show is a memorable experience. Shows are family sensitive - All ages are welcome and there is no swearing or vulgarity. The Jester’Z perform at Theater 168 every Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. All shows are 90 minutes in length with NO intermission. Theater 168 seats 120 and our early shows are typically sold out in advance, so please make your reservations in advance. Walk-ins will be seated based on availability. Candy, popcorn, soda, nachos and water are available at the snack bar. Come on in and enjoy no drink minimum! Musical Theatre Auditions Hale Centre Theatre will hold auditions on May 11th for Beauty and the Beast playing July 8 - Aug 29. (Eight week run) The show will be produced by David & Corrin Dietlein, directed and music directed by Tregoney Shepherd. Call backs will be May 13th, with the first read thru on May 18th. Please be prepared to sing 16 bars of music in the style of the show. Accompanist will be provided. Be prepared for dance movement. 4 Summer Workshops - LIGHT Entertainment: Summer Workshop 2009 is open to ages 8-12 and all teens. Show A:May 25-29 Monday-Friday Registration and Tuition due by May 15 June 2-6 Tuesday-Saturday Registration and Tuition due by May 22Show B:July 6-10 Monday-Friday Registration and Tuition due by June 26July 20-24 Monday-Friday Registration and Tuition due by July 10. Rehearsals and performance will be held at Starlight Dance Studio in Mesa. Times are 8-noon with a performance at the end of the week at 4 PM. Each June sessions will be the same show. July's sessions will be different from June's show in case you wish to participate each month. Cost per Entertainer is $125 for the week. Registration after the deadlines will be $150. Mesa Easter Pageant April 1–2 and 7-11 at 8pm on the Lawn north of the Mesa Temple Visitor’s Center, 525 E. Main St in Mesa, there will be full English productions of Jesus the Christ with a cast of over 400. FREE ADMISSION. No tickets are required. Chair seats are available as well as some lawn areas for blankets. The Spanish performances are on April 3-4 with FREE ADMISSION as well.
