CONCERTS/SHOWS/EVENTS

Mesa Easter Pageant April 1–2 and 7-11 at 8pm on the Lawn north of the Mesa Temple Visitor’s Center, 525 E. Main St in Mesa, there will be full English productions of Jesus the Christ with a cast of over 400. FREE ADMISSION. No tickets are required. Chair seats are available as well as some lawn areas for blankets. The Spanish performances are on April 3-4 with FREE ADMISSION as well. Classic Family Musical HaleTheatre presents “The King and I”, a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical! starring Cambrian James as the King, Alaina Beauloye as Anna, Jenn Toon as Lady Thiang.
April 2nd thru April 4th –Thurs- Saturday at 7:30pm with Sat matinees.at 3pm. (There have been 2 Wednesday performances added -March 21st & April 1st at 7:30pm.) Nielson Family Hope Benefit Concert - Sat, April 18th at 7pm at Gilbert High School, there will be a benefit concert for Christian and Stephanie Nielson,the husband and wife that were seriously burned in an airplane crash. This will be a fabulous concert featuring Brooke White (American Idol), Jordan Bluth and other wonderful local talent, including Kirsten Milsap, Justin Williams, Debbie Coon, Freddie Ashby, Michele Baer, Aaron Ballard, Dal Albretsen, Roberts Sisters, Richelle Talbot, Tom Chamberlain, Erica Soelberg Dance group, Allyssa Evans and the Jeremy Millar Dance Co. Speech Level Singing Master Class: Technique and Application to Song Workshop Master Speech Level Singing Instructor from New York, will be teaching a workshop on Thursday, April 23, 2009, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Voiceworks Academy. Voiceworks Academya premier vocal studio in Mesa, will be opening in April 2009. We will offer private and group lessons in voice, piano, and guitar, as well as a variety of classes and performing groups. Our vocal instructors are certified in Speech Level Singing. Childrens summer camp June 15-19, 1pm-4pm and/or July 13-17, 1pm-4pm: Arts Alive Performing Arts Camp for 3rd -6th graders taught by Janae Thomas and Alicia Morgan in Chandler. Students will explore the world of singing, acting and movement and will perform at the end of each session at the Chandler Public Library Hamilton Branch. New Performing Group Angels of Paradise, has been building popularity and is made up of three angelic sopranos and one Hungarian pianist. Their literature ranges from (Celtic Women type) folk songs, to pop, to Broadway, to art song, and Opera. The one hour show has been well received and is now booking until the end of June. ReZoN8 Dance JUNIOR Swing and Ballroom Dance Class ReZoN8 Junior ballroom class for ages 7-12. Space is limited. Registration fee is $20 and applied to the last month of the session fees. Interdenominational Choir- If you would like to join the ‘Voices of Peace’ choir directed by Holly Ashby, they meet Every Sunday 8pm at the Kimball Stake Center , 32nd Street and Southern in Mesa. Maybe bring a friend of another faith with you.
