BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Linsey & Tyler Maxson have graced many stages here in Arizona and are set to perform in the upcoming Hale Theatre production of Beauty and the Beast . If you remember the Maxsons in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Scarlett Pimpernel you will be excited to see them again in Beauty and the Beast. Beauty and the Beast is the fourth longest running show on Broadway and in the last few years the rights have been released to theaters nation wide. The Hale Theatre feels fortunate to be able to bring this exceptional cast and extravagant and elegant show to the Phoenix Valley. It is a treat not to be missed.Show Dates: July 9 – August 29, 2009. Auditions for the CopperStar Repertory Theatre are this Friday- 5-9pm and Saturday 12-5 pmand possibly Monday from 5-9 pm at Williams Field H.S. Call for audition time 699-1555. This is a community production with parts for ages 14-adult and childrens choir for ages 9-13 Men between 16 – 35 are really needed.More information can be found at www.copperstarrep.org/audition then click on the Joseph logo on the right. Treble Makers: A Teen Music Theater Performing Group- Directed by Linsey and Tyler Maxson 7th -12th graders- 6:15-7:15Tuition: $55 per month
Comprehensive Music Theatre class by Linsey Maxson and Dana Rodgers -Grades 5 - 9. It will include weekly instruction in singing, dance, theatre, large group numbers, small ensembles, solos, audition techniques, and even field trips to productions in the east valley The class will meet weekly Tuesdays from 6:15 - 7:15 on the EAST side of town near Lindsay and Guadalupe and will have two major performances this year. In addition, there are 2 duets with tenor Jordan Bluth and 7 original songs written by Michele with personal inspirational messages. Jester’Z Improv Family Theatre
Comprised of professional actors, comedians, and stand up comics headed up by Jef Rawls, The Jester'Z provides instant comedy - made up on the spot. The Jester'Z know the games, but because the setup comes from the audience every scene is unique, and every show is a memorable experience. Shows are family sensitive - All ages are welcome and there is no swearing or vulgarity. The Jester’Z perform at Theater 168 every Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 & 10:00 pm. All shows are 90 minutes in length with NO intermission. Theater 168 seats 120 and our early shows are typically sold out in advance, so please make your reservations in advance. Walk-ins will be seated based on availability. Candy, popcorn, soda, nachos and water are available at the snack bar. Come on in and enjoy no drink minimum! Interdenominational Choir-If you would like to join the ‘Voices of Peace’ choir directed by Holly Ashby, they meet Every Sunday 8pm at the Kimball Stake Center , 32nd Street and Southern in Mesa. Maybe bring a friend of another faith with you.
